The LuxHeat floor heating cable repair kit is a single-splice solution for fixing cut, broken, or damaged electric radiant floor heating cables and mats — restoring full function to your floor heating without tearing out the entire system. Whether the cable was nicked during installation or damaged after the floor was set, this heated floor repair kit provides everything needed for one complete, waterproof splice.
Each kit includes a high-conductivity copper/aluminum crimping ferrule (OD 4.0 mm / ID 3.0 mm) and two adhesive-lined heat shrink sleeves: a smaller 4.5 mm × 40 mm inner sleeve and a larger 9.5 mm × 120 mm outer sleeve. The adhesive lining in the heat shrink melts during application and forms a sealed, waterproof barrier around the finished join.
One kit handles a direct cable join where the two ends meet without a gap. If you are bridging a gap using additional wire, two kits are required — additional wire is not included with either kit.

The finished splice — ferrule crimped and both heat shrink sleeves applied — creates a waterproof, low-profile join that is safe to cover and tile over once complete. If the break is under an existing tile installation, the tiles directly over the damaged section will need to be carefully removed to expose the cable before the splice can be made.
Is one repair kit enough, or do I need two?
One kit is sufficient for a direct join where the two cable ends can meet without a gap — simply strip, insert into the ferrule, crimp, and apply both heat shrink sleeves. If there is a section of missing or damaged cable that must be removed, leaving a gap between the two ends, you will need two kits plus a section of bridging wire to bridge the distance. Bridging wire is not included and must be sourced separately.
