Installing your LuxHeat Cable Kits with Fixing Strips is easy:

1. Start by planning the layout of your cable and prepare your floor. The subfloor must be dry, level, smooth, and structurally sound; it must also be inspected carefully to ensure it is clean and clear of sharp edges, nails, and any other objects that could damage the heating wire.
2. Fit the fixing strips to the subfloor.
3. Test the cable prior to installation as per the installation instructions.
4. Connect the installation monitor to the cable to alert you of any damage to the cable during installation.
5. Lace the heating cable back and forth, attaching it to the fixing strips every 3 inches. The cable runs should not ever cross itself or be closer than 2” apart.
6. Once you have run the cables, remove the monitor and perform another test before covering the system in screed.
7. Cover the system using thinset or a SLU, ensuring that all cables are completely covered.
8. Install your floor covering and perform a final test.
